Instructions for Filling Out the Asset Mapping Spreadsheet
 Step 1: Fill in the Standard Columns
These columns contain data required to correctly locate your asset on the map, make sure you can use it for alerts and searches, and allow you to update the asset with new details later on. Use the tooltips on each column header to help you fill in the cells with values. You should provide one row per pin to add to the map.

Step 2: Add any Metadata
If you want to include any custom data, replace the "Additional Meta Data" column with the type of data to include, for example Phone, Email, etc. If you would like to include multiple such custom data points, add additional columns to the right for these. If you have no custom fields to include, you can remove this column from the spreadsheet.

Step 3: Rename and Save 
Rename the template to a name you will remember and save in CSV format for upload to the system. If you have any questions about uploading spreadsheets to the system, refer to the V-ALERT User Manual for help.
